Charles Sydney Frost, author of "Once a Patricia" (1988, Borealis), "A Life Worthwhile" (1994), and "Always a Patricia" (2004, Borealis), served with the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry in Europe during the Second World War, and was twice wounded in action. He later was appointed Queen's Counsel in 1960. Frost also served the Royal Regiment of Canada for many years in different capacities
